NEO Finance

NEO Finance is a peer-to-peer lending platform where you can invest from 10 Euros and expect an average interest rate of 12%. The average loan taken by NEO Finance borrowers is 2,757 Euros, and the average loan duration is 50 months. The company is the only one in Lithuania that has an EMI license, which protects the invested assets and guarantees that they will be returned. NEO Finance activities are also regulated by the Bank of Lithuania. The company does not make empty promises of a 100% refund guarantee and provides all information about the terms on the website. Perhaps the biggest disadvantage for investors is that customers from countries other than Lithuania have additional fees and this may discourage them from choosing this platform. Customers also complain about an inconvenient system, unnecessary form filling and so on. NEO Finance can be a perfect choise for those who like to diversify investments across different platforms or for people who are residents of Lithuania.

How does it work?

  • Sign up for an investor account.
  • Do a personal identification.
  • Open an electronic NEO Finance money account.
  • Transfer money to this account.
  • You can choose from 2 investment methods. The first is manual: select the loan you want to invest in and transfer the desired amount of money. The NEO Finance system will automatically select borrowers and open up the best investment opportunities.

Risk and reward

The average interest rate on the NEO Finance platform is 12%. NEO Finance is the only peer-to-peer lending platform in Lithuania that has an unlimited EMI (Electronic Money Institution) license that allows it to operate throughout the European Union.  The license provides protection for investors’ funds, because they are kept in a separate account from the company, so in the event of bankruptcy the money will be refunded. The company is also supervised by the Bank of Lithuania, which operates in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Lithuania. In the event of cancellation of the agreement with the debtor, investors may sell their investment to NEO Finance themselves for 50-80% of its nominal value.

NEO Finance Reviews

The home page of the website is a bit different than usual for this type of platform. The information begins with statistics, a video in which the company’s shareholder talks about the services. After that follows a list of loans that you can invest in and information about the benefits of this platform. Even though the design itself is clean and clear, there is an interesting solution to keep the menu on the left side of the site. It is also more difficult to find information about the company itself. Besides that, once you learn how to navigate the site, you can find everything an investor needs to know about the NEO Finance platform.

Customer service

The customer service is not always professional and high quality. The main issues is that it is difficult to reach customer service through the phone and get answers to the questions quickly, the problems are not always solved promptly.

Reviews

Customers are happy because investments are protected and there is a fairly high average interest rate. Most complaints are about the functionality of the platform. Consumers complain that the platform is difficult to use, the system often lags, some actions take too many steps, and the system is very inconvenient compared to competitors.
